Robin Thicke Thanks Fans for Support, D.C. Show Still On

It’s been a bumpy few days for Robin Thicke, whose wife asked for a separation this month.  As news hit the media, rumors began flying and Thicke soon felt overwhelmed by the masses.

The Blurred Lines tour was scheduled to begin on Feb. 21 in Atlanta, Ga., but the singer canceled that date plus the following dates in Orlando, Fla. and Cherokee, N.C.  The singer’s reasoning for the cancellations were chalked up to vocal issues and “unforeseen circumstances.”  Soon, fans in D.C. were worried his canceling streak would continue with his Feb. 27 show at the Patriot Center.

Thankfully, Thicke addressed the uncertainty on his website, in a thank-you to fans for support.

“I want to thank everyone for the well wishes these last few days. My fans mean everything to me. I’m looking forward to getting back on out on the road and performing in  Washington DC this Thursday, and the rest of the tour.   Looking forward to seeing everyone out there,” he wrote.

Some of the rumored reasons for Thicke and Patton’s split include his performance with Miley Cyrus at the MTV VMAs and a rendezvous with a random woman in a club.

K. Michelle and DJ Cassidy will open the show tonight at the Patriot Center.  DJ Cassidy will also be guest deejaying on the Old Skool Mix Friday morning.
