This week’s Spotlight is on a true local legend, Southeast Slim.

This influential D.C. artist has ties to Wale, and has produced some of the best and biggest beats in DMV Hip-hop history.

In the interview below he talks about history with Wale, the sound of D.C., upcoming projects and more.

This week’s honorable mention is Nooch — a young-legend-in-the-making. He’s a rising star to watch and is also the son of One Way Boobie, a former “DMV Spotlight” artist.

He has multiple videos on and his new project, “Sophomore Slump,” is filled with features and co-signs form a few industry vets.
