Washington, D.C. has been the home of go-go music since the 60s when it was created by the godfather of go-go, Chuck Brown.  Today, it has evolved into a subgenre called “bounce beat,” a more aggressive version of go-go that heavily involves timbales created by the Bounce Beat King, Polo of TCB.

DJ Flexx, IamDonJuan and record producer JS aka The Best crafted a one-of-a-kind song that was never been done before.  Combining the classic sound of go-go with the aggression of the bounce beat, they named the track “Polo & Chuck,” to commemorate the founding fathers.

Both new and veterans of the DMV go-go movement can enjoy both aspects of go-go music with this remembrance.

“Polog & Chuck” will be available on iTunes on Feb. 16, 2014, which is DJ Flexx and JS aka The Best’s birthdays.Pre-order the song here.
