This week’s DMV Spotlight takes a look at Maryland native, Tray Chaney.

After being on HBO’s legendary “The Wire” as “Poot,” Chaney has turned to a career in music.

One thing that stands out in his campaign is his attention to the positive. His uplifting songs like, “Dedicated Father,” and others assist him in his anti-bullying campaign that shows his hustle is more about reaching people than a selfish, arrogant approach.

Very dope videos and an incredible independent grind has seen Chaney up on BET’s “106 and Park” along with being noticed by The Hufffington Post in New York.

Good things are ahead for Chaney in 2014 with a humble hustle like this.

Chaney grew up in Forestville and currently lives with his wife in Clinton.
