Wu-Tang Clan Celebrates 20 Years With New Single, ‘Family Reunion’

The Wu-Tang Clan are celebrating twenty years with a “Family Reunion.” The group launched the new single this week, just a month after a previously unreleased pay-what-you-want track, “Execution in Autumn,” was made available to fans.

“Family Reunion” appropriately samples the classic O’Jay’s soul tune of the same name, lending a retro soul feel to the rap featuring Ghostface KillaMethod Man and Masta Killa. Listen to the track below.

The track is a testament to a new direction for the group, honoring the 20th anniversary of their debut, Enter the Wu-Tang. On the track they rap: “We rock all in together now/Wu-Tang forever now/20 years later we still bang whatever now/Turn chains to cheddar/If I could take a quote from Obama change is better/I vow to never let you down.”

While “Execution in Autumn” was a previously recorded track, allegedly pulled from RZA’s personal vault, this latest one signals new activity from the group, who are rumored to be working on a new full-length. Spin reported that the effort, slated for a fall release, will be titled A Better Tomorrow.
