Here goes that age-old question: If you end your engagement, do you return the ring?!
Well, this is all-too-real for Buffalo Bills star Mario Williams who is suing his former fiance Erin Marzouki for a 10.04 carat diamond ring valued at $785,000.
Williams proposed on Feb. 19, 2012 with the ring, but she ended their engagement on Jan. 21, 2013.
“(Marzouki) never intended to marry (Williams) and used the relationship as a means to get to (Williams’) money and acquire gifts,” said the lawsuit, filed by Houston attorneys Monica Schulz Orlando and Michael Gary Orlando.
Marzouki now is refusing Williams’ request to return the diamond engagement ring, which she had promised to do if the engagement ended, according to the lawsuit.
By the way, Williams signed a six-year, $100 million contract with the Bills that included $50 million in guaranteed money in 2012.
So he clearly isn’t hurting for the money, but still, should she return the ring or does the woman keep it??
