*Sigh* The down side of lottery pools…one of the winners of the famous $640 million Mega Millions jackpot was participated in a lottery pool with her co-workers at a Maryland McDonald’s. However, she is refusing to honor the agreement with her co-workers claiming she bought the ticket on her own for herself, not the lottery pool at work…

Mirlande Wilson, 37, told the New York Post, “We had a group plan, but I went and played by myself. [The winning ticket] wasn’t on the group plan. I was in the group, but this was separate. The winning ticket was a separate ticket.” The single mother of seven reported this as she and her fiancé left her home.

The Haitian immigrant claimed she has hidden the ticket and will present it to lottery officials today.

Sandra Rose reported that Wilson said:

“I don’t know if I won. Some of the numbers were familiar. I recognized some of them,” she said. “I don’t know why” people are saying differently. “I’m going to go to the lottery office today. I bought some tickets separately.”

Nonetheless, Wilson’s co-workers who make BARELY more than $7.50 an hour are infuriated at her claims of buying the ticket separately! Wouldn’t you be?

Sandra Rose reported that Allen, the boyfriend of the McDonald’s manager said, “the group’s tickets, along with a list of those who contributed to the pool, were left in an office safe at the fast food outlet.”

Allen also talked about how the night before the drawing, “the owner of the McDonald’s franchise store gave Wilson $5 to buy more tickets to add to the pool.”

Although Wilson purchased the tickets, she took them home with her.

Apparently, when she found out she had become a Mega Millions winner, Wilson called her co-workers to deliver the bitter-sweet news: SHE had won…not any of them.

Allen told the New York Post he and Layla went to Wilson’s home to confront her about her claims. They banged on the door for 20 minutes until she finally decided to open it for them.

“These people are going to kill you. It’s not worth your life!” Allen claimed he told Wilson.

“All right! All right! I’ll share, but I can’t find the ticket right now,” she replied, according to Allen.

Although there is no way to prove her claims, “the store checked the CCTV video.”

It seems that a store clerk believes a man purchased the winning ticket from the store during the time the lottery ticket was sold.

Wilson’s McDonald’s co-workers could possibly take her to court…not surprising.

However, if Wilson really has the ticket, I don’t know how lucky the co-workers are going to get. There was a court case in the past with a construction worker who pooled his money with his co-workers and claimed the winning jackpot for himself. At the end of the day, the case favored the man over of his co-workers….uh oh.

It is so sad when it comes to money the greed kicks. She knows that all her co-workers won with her all together but now she wants to be selfish. All of them need to take her to court so they can get their winnings Also as a lesson to her she should not get anything her part shoukd go to charity…………………………

thats y all co workers should at least get a copy of the tickets they pull. cause this will only lead to disaster if this woman dont give it up.
