The impending downpour from Hurricane Irene has forced the postonement of Sunday’s dedication of the Martin Luther King, Jr National Memorial in DC.

Organizers of the event released a statement Thursday afternoon saying Friday’s events and Saturday’s prayer breakfast will continue as planned, but all other unveiling ceremonies will be put on hold until a date to be determined in September or October.
