For the past two years, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Chris Brown[/lastfm] has been fighting the negative elements of fame, enduring bouts of negative press and the proverbial blacklisting from the devastating results of a heated argument between himself and former girlfriend [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Rihanna[/lastfm].

F.A.M.E. comes off the heels of Chris Brown’s previous album Graffiti which was hurriedly released and primarily focused on Chris Brown defending himself, looking for redemption and seeking to secure his fanbase.

This time around Brown went a different route, deciding to focus on what matters most, the music.

F.A.M.E. primarily focuses on the music, which proved to be a brilliant tactic as the whole album proves to be a non-stop collection of hit singles that are not only worthy of radio airplay but also to purchase.

Chris Brown’s return to a collection of dance hits and R&B slow jams reignites not only his career but his fan base which had dissipated in the past couple of years.

As expected with a comeback album, Chris brings in the big guns in terms of collaborations working with everyone from [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Justin Bieber[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lil Wayne[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Ludacris[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Tyga[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kevin McCall[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Busta Rhymes[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Benny Benassi[/lastfm].

The single, “Yeah 3x” rolled out the red carpet for the sort of album that Chris Brown would release and in terms of singles that could have been released from the album, this was the perfect choice taking Chris back to what made him famous.

If you’re really into the club scene get ready to shake your moneymaker off to “Beautiful People” featuring electro house DJ [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Benny Benassi[/lastfm].  “Beautiful People” is a bona fied hit making us question why the two haven’t worked together until this point.

However, the album isn’t just a collection of dance hits, but a really well crafted collection of songs that both work as singles and a cohesive album.  Something that’s hard to find in pop music today, as the single has become the moneymaker due to the change in how music is bought on the internet.

The most surprising song on the album might just be “Next To You” the love ballad collaboration with Justin Bieber.  Not only do the two work really well together, but the song will easily become the “Forever” of F.A.M.E. So when videos of people using “Next To You” pop up all over the internet, don’t say we didn’t say so!

Most people will ask if this album will rectify the sins of Chris Brown’s past, but perhaps it doesn’t have to.  It’s a clear elevation of someone growing and changing under the scrutiny of the public eye while learning how to deal with F.A.M.E. It’s never easy, but like this album, with enough love, care and patience something great can come out of it.
