jayz Jay Z Feels Bad About What He Said About The Ladies

While working on his new book Decoded, [lastfm]Jay-Z[/lastfm] is beginning to regret the disrespectful lyrics he put in his music regarding women. He felt he didn’t present his opinion of women in the best light.

Jay-Z had this to say…

“Some [lyrics] become really profound when you see them in writing. Not ‘Big Pimpin.’ That’s the exception.  It was like, I can’t believe I said that. And kept saying it. What kind of animal would say this sort of thing? Reading it is really harsh.”

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal he had this to say…

“We have to find our way back to true emotion. This is going to sound so sappy, but love is the only thing that stands the test of time.  The Miseducation of [lastfm]Lauryn Hill[/lastfm] was all about love. [lastfm]Andre 3000[/lastfm], The Love Below.  Even [lastfm]N.W.A[/lastfm], at its core — that was about love for a neighborhood.”

We can only hope that many other of today’s artists see that too and make some changes to their music.

Jay-Z’s memoir, Decoded, will be released on November 16th.
